Archeological Tour
Soledad de Maciel
Visit a sacred archeological site dating back 2,500 years BC until the end of the Aztec Empire and the arrival of the Spanish in Mexico. Explore the pyramids, match-ball field and archeology museum containing important discoveries from the region. This area includes a sacrificial site that can be seen with a short hike.
Ixtapa Island Snorkeling Tour
Enjoy a half-day tour to explore Ixtapa Island & the wildlife sanctuary (see crocs, birds, iguanas and more). Snorkel to see the coral reefs and tropical fish, hike to the four beaches of the island. Includes transportation to and from the island, fruit, water, and beer, and snorkel equipment.
Birdwatching Excursion
Visit a local & migratory bird sanctuary in the quaint fishing village of Barra de Potosi. This is a beautiful freshwater lagoon estuary opens to the pacific. The excursion leaves at 6:30 am from Troncones, and arrives in time to watch the sunrise by boat. See amazing birds with the help of a local birdwatching expert. This tour includes round trip transportation to Barra de Potosi (approx. 1 hour drive), boat tour & guide, and a delicious breakfast at a beautiful beachfront restaurant.
